A lot of those who are into anime and manga seem to like video games too. So, here's a thread to acknowledge your love as well as chat about any games you're currently hooked on.
I'm an RPG-focused gamer (if I can even be called that ^^;; ) myself. Some of my favorite games are the Tales Series (I own Tales of Destiny, Tales of Destiny II, and Tales of the Abyss), Harvest Moon (N64, DS, etc.), Threads of Fate (PSX), Legend of Mana (PSX), and Phoenix Wright for the Nintendo DS (I love Edgeworth so much it's ridiculous...). It's probably not a coincidence that all of these games were developed in Japan ... heh. I wouldn't say I'm really into video games (I'm definitely not up to date with new releases), but I like playing them now and then ^_^
I used to be a hardcore "oldschool RPGer". I played all the Final Fantasys before FVIII. I boycotted Square(Enix) after VIII. I love Chrono Trigger and the most awesomest platform game ever: Castlevania! Then there's the Breath of Fires which were okay, Lufia and probably a couple of SNES ones I'm forgetting. I even played the Magic Knight Rayearth RPG for the Snes which wasn't too bad actually.
Since those days, I've played a bit of Kingdom Hearts II but really - the game mechanics are dismal compared to some of the older games in that it's really way too easy. I *tried* my hand at Devil May Cry III, but it's ridiculously hard. Also Resident Evil 4...which is a really interesting game, but once again I'm not used to aiming and shooting. And currently, I just really have no time.
My major is Video Games, nuff said lol though I am like the biggest fan of old stuff, Castlevania is awesomely badass, Megaman series 20 years still strong in my book. But then all the dojin so the bullet hell and a lot of those. Also I'm such a huge Phanasty Star II nerd Nei > Aries any day. And hey I even have some I made like this one here for a shamless plug

It's okay Amanda. Personally, I think video games nowadays kind of suck...so I don't really plan them, except the series that are sort of okay.

Aww, it's okay, no need to like video games to be accepted here ^_^ A good number of the anime fans I know like video games, so I thought I'd make a thread in an attempt to revive our forum ... but plenty of others (including one of my roommates) have no interest in them, and that's fine too.

Well, I play all kinds minus(-) sports. I just can't stand sports anime/manga/game/whatever, with some exception. I'm not a very hardcore gamer, so I don't really play a lot. Although, I think I've played most of the major gba games out there because they're easier to pirate and play without mom finding out.
I play almost all game types but I agree with panzer magier on not caring for sports. I do find myself most often playing rpgs, fighters, and hardcore puzzlers. Although at the moment I've pretty much dropped everything for Bioshock. I'm on my fourth run through and still loving it!
