This thread's simple purpose is for everyone to talk about whatever they're watching right now (this season, last season, on DVD, etc.). What new series have you picked up? What are you dropping? What are you really enjoying? Whatever you want to say, put it down here.

It's funny that I'm more optimistic about two series I didn't plan on watching at all (CLANNAD and KimiKiss) than two series on my pick list (Dragonaut, Rental Magica). We'll see how the season goes from here....

Well because I'm lacking on time (I'm supposed to be studying for AP Art History test @ the moment...meep), I've divided all the animes I watched into 3 categories. What I'm watching, what I'm storing on the back-up (and will EVENTUALLY watch), and what I'm dropping. So here we go:

Shion no Ou

Doi. After all, I am gonna be blogging this and I am like major #1 Shion no Ou fangirl changing the avatar and pimping out this series on every site and forum that mentions this...But seriously, this series is just plain amazing as long as they don't kill the manga material completely.

Shakugan no Shana II

It's funny...I wasn't excited to watch this until I watched Shakugan no Shana-tan (Shana parodies). Now I'm hooked back onto the show. Anyways, it looks wonderful in HD and while the story (and villians) all suck as usual, I'm watching this for the characters (and pairings) .

CLANNAD

Yeah, I didn't know I would be watching this series either. Well I checked it out because of random curiosity (no not Omni's blog) and I found it extremely amusing. I'm not sure if it's because the strong characterization of Nagisa and Tomoya or the ridiculously cliched stereotypes of Kyou and Tomoyo (who I can't stop thinking of as Clare) but I like what I'm watching.

~Saiunkoku Monogatari will be watched whenever the damn releases come. Same applies to Romeo x Juliet. Still need to watch Seirei no Moribito 26.~

So yeah I liked the manga nothing is giving me the "OMG I wanna watch feeling!" even if it's all good. I'll probably watch this ASAP when I have time though.

Night Wizard

Not bad, not bad at all. I like the animation and the lead is awesome . Sure it's cliche but hey if they can pull it off in a way that amuses me it's all good. But no "OMG must watch NOW" feeling either.

The manga was bland but the anime was much better. Still it doesn't make me too excited because it's gonna take a miracle to make this show awesome.

Ewww...Ghost Hunt. God I hated that show and this is exactly what Rental Magica reminded me of. Pure boredom and clicheness. Ugh.

Shall I say B00banaut? Anyways, OMFG MY GIRLFRIEND IS A DORAGAN!!!! WTFROFLMAO? Yeah, that pretty much explains how I feel about the show. Nothing make sense except for the fact that it's completely retarded because everything is stupid and has no logic and that it feels like Code Geass for some strange reason.

Filler FTW! Yeah I have no idea WTF Madhouse is trying to pull off by they're taking all the faults of this show and sticking them together. Uguu~.

We should combine all our fall season watch lists and make another gigantic post as a sequel ! But I don't wanna put it together this time....

OMG, I can't believe you guys are watching Clannad and Senna, is Kimikiss (or whatever the hell it's called) actually good? I have -infinity patience for those shows but I'm just judgemental.

I've only seen Rental Magica so far, and I may or may not watch the rest of it. So far, the lack of originality is working against it so maybe I'll wait until more of it comes out. I'm still watching from past seasons, although I have a lot of episodes downloaded...

I'm pretty much still watching Ghost in the Shell's 2nd season, Genshiken's 1st (so I can watch the second) and Hana Kimi the Japanese drama (very slowly). I may pick up Ghost Hound, and maybe one or two more which I can't list because I don't even remember...that's the lack of time I have =(.

Is that one or two Shion no Ou ? LOL.

Hey I sat through AIR. I didn't like it but I sat through it. So yeah I can sit through CLANNAD. My taste can get very girly.

I got so sick of the Hana Kimi jD0rama I stopped 1 episode before the finale. I realized I was just watching it purely for Nakatsu x Mizuki and if they're not gonna get together...

Then again, I watched Darker than BLACK mostly for Hei x Misaki and 40% of my reason for keeping up with Claymore (manga and anime) is Clare x Raki...

God where was I?

Oh yeah it seems as if time's a problem for everyone nowadays. Actually, I find I'm just doing random things for procrastination instead of actually watching stuff o.O.

OMG, I totally know what you mean. I spent hours on the internet dicking around when I could have watched 3 or 4 episodes of things.

lol, I posted this thread while studying for my linguistics midterm (which I just took x.x).

As for CLANNAD and KimiKiss, I like both Tomoya and Nagisa (the main characters of CLANNAD), so even though I can hardly stand anyone else in the show, I'll keep watching for them. Part of the reason I hate harem shows is that the male lead is nearly always unlikeable, and Tomoya is surprisingly the most interesting character at this point. (The other reasons I hate harem are numerous, so CLANNAD still has a chance of being scrapped.)

KimiKiss has its share of cliches (childhood friend coming to live with main character; more girls than a show really needs filling all the stereotypic roles), but it's been a surprisingly decent romance so far that doesn't feel harem-like at all. The main character from the game has been split into two male characters in the anime. The three main characters (the childhood friends, one of which is a girl) each have their own romantic interest, and the main guy only has one girl who likes him (rather than 8). There are more than two male characters, and there is no "stupid best friend who never gets the girl" character. It's no Honey & Clover, but it's not Love Hina either. And along with Shugo Chara (which stars 5th graders), it's about the closest there is to shoujo this season T_T

OhMyDearGods~~~, A2M also has one of these threads now? Lol. It's like one of those infinite vortexes: once it starts, the rabbit hole will never end XD. But enough of my random blabbering, series I'm watching:

...and I think that's all. Nothing really disappoints me so far because, well, I never had any expectations to begin with lol. Well, maybe a little for kaiji and clannad. A word of the questionable Wise: keep your bar low, because everything else will become high XD.
