Well, pretty straight forward. I'm not really big on video with the player.
I would go for the video ipod, I-tunes is just the best for music to mp3 players and the ipod is quite nice, not that big, simple to use and everything.
I have a Sansa (about a year old) and I like it pretty well. It's sturdy enough for me and at the time the price was such that Sansa gave me the most for what I could afford (as in, there was no way I was getting an iPod). I'm not an audiophile though, so I can't say much on technical side of things, but the Sansa was a good value, and it's lasted me so far. But I guess it all depends on what you're looking for most (i.e., cost, durability, sound quality, space, look, etc.)
